You Are 80% Perfectionist
You are a true perfectionist. You are both demanding of yourself and others. While it's great to have goals and standards, they don't need to be sky high!

Enough said.
Time to hit the sack

What kind of feelings do you get when reading this poem?

I

Among twenty snowy mountains
The only moving thing
Was the eye of the blackbird.

II

I was of three minds,
Like a tree
In which there are three blackbirds.

III

The blackbird whirled in the autumn winds.
It was a small part of the pantomime.

IV

A man and a woman
Are one.
A man and a woman and a blackbird
Are one.

V

I do not know which to prefer,
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,
The blackbird whistling
Or just after.

VI

Icicles filled the long window
With barbaric glass.
The shadow of the blackbird
Crossed it, to and fro.
The mood
Traced in the shadow
An indecipherable cause.

VII

O thin men of Haddam,
Why do you imagine golden birds?
Do you not see how the blackbird
Walks around the feet
Of the women about you?

VIII

I know noble accents
And lucid, inescapable rhythms;
But I know, too,
That the blackbird is involved
In what I know.

IX

When the blackbird flew out of sight,
It marked the edge
Of one of many circles.

X

At the sight of blackbirds
Flying in a green light,
Even the bawds of euphony
Would cry out sharply.

XI

He rode over Connecticut
In a glass coach.
Once, a fear pierced him,
In that he mistook
The shadow of his equipage
For blackbirds.

XII

The river is moving.
The blackbird must be flying.

XIII

It was evening all afternoon.
It was snowing
And it was going to snow.
The blackbird sat
In the cedar-limbs.

HAH could have said confusion and risked getting thrown out of lecture hall.
Literature is so not my thing...

Whats better than sleeping on a bed?

A nymphomaniac may reply: "Sleeping with someone else"
Sleeping on 2 beds! would be the answer of the morbidly obese..

Me think whats better than sleeping on a bed is; sleeping on a bed with clean, crisp sheets.
Makes a world of a difference if you'd ask me..
That is if you are a sucker for hygiene.
Like me.

So it really doesn't require a person with clairvoyance to see that i would get my due rest again.
Tonight.
Time to repay my sleep debt.

but how nice would it be if i could get eternal rest.
just to get away from it all..

Its just a thought, and a worrying thought at that.
But dont worry.
All's well.

I do hope thats true.

i realised i have lots of pictures in my personal work folder!

so here's to clear some of the pictures joel, mabel and i took on wednesday at
Coffee Club Marina!
ah i will forever remember that place.
damn difficult to find please!
situated at some ulu part of the mall
walked and walked.
i even contemplated crawling around the mall at one stage.

on reaching our far-flung destination,
our Mr. Mo had this to say: "EH i think we passed this in the beginning"
ahaha...
but cant blame the poor dude lah,
we were IN a labyrinth!!
every turn we took brought us to this dimsum shop called 包今天
directly translated in English as Bao Today.
LOLWTFO_O
Joel posing with his cursed router.
really cursed i tell you;
will die in 7 days one...
the internet connection, i mean
the girl with her proud purchase
blonde moment
i told her to look emo and that i would toggle settings to black-and-white
for greater effect.
she not only smiled but still asked me why the picture doesnt have color?
would someone please tell her..?
gloriousssssssss chocolate fondue on Joel's suggestion
Found out that:
Joel hates Kiwi and Strawberry
Mabel, just the Mango
Myself? I hate wasting food.
my iced earl vanilla...
dont know what was Joel up to though.
sneaky fella...
We blew $34.65 on the Iced Earl Vanilla, Joel's Mexicano, Mabel's Tea (shall call it Tea for now, till i manage to recall the name), and the Chocolate fondue.
Quite a cosy place with appropriate lighting to get you into the mood, complete with attentive wait-staff.
The only drawback is their apparent lackadaisical attempt in their choice of songs.
They were playing the entire Blue's album!!!
From the first to the last track, no less.
But i suspect that Mabel would be coming back for more, in spite of the disgusting list of songs.
The industry is so over boybands and we-don't-look-like-groupies-thank-you.
Mabel just had to wave good bye to the male waiter!
Hehe =)
Just to add on, the idea of setting up a gourmet club emerged during our
chat.
putting aside money during the week, then treating ourselves to chic eating places
over the weekend.
First stop this Sunday: New York New York.
Okay okay, New York New York does not belong in the same league as restaurants
with 3 or more Michelin Stars.
But thats not to say, they arent able to conjure gastronomical delights to tease the palate.
It's up to US to find out...
SO ARE YOU WITH ME?!

To impress his date, the young man took her to a very chic Italian
restaurant. After sipping some fine wine, he picked up the menu and ordered. "We'll have the Giuseppe Spomdalucci," he proclaimed with much gusto. "Sorry sir," said the waiter, "That's the owner."

The day before today; ah yes yes-terday :P
i attended a youth meeting- for fellow believers in my school - held at the
church just across the road from my campus.
i was resisting my friends' plea to follow them on the past few occasions,
citing mainly fatigue and heavy workload among other reasons.

but i, somehow, felt compelled to join them yesterday
thank God i didnt make a mistake.
amidst the fun and games, was a really good sharing by a certain sister Wai Ling
from Singapore Youth for Christ.
and her office building is within close proximity to WRPF's Guilin Building
(?? pardon me. but i would love to think i'm really good with the nitty gritty details. ARGH! =P)

encouraged to know that there's a sizable population of believers in school,
so we could look out for one another since im always getting into trouble

amazed to be able to click so well with them..
now, i look forward to tuesdays despite it being a long school day :D

This may seem out of place here but i'm grateful that Jesus Christ chose to die on the cross.
Or else i am certain we would all be wallowing in eternal damnation after we die.
For the wages of sin is death isnt it?

Oh yeah, Roma were swept away by Manchester United =D in a 7-1 defeat, knocking them out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage in resounding fashion.

Can i hear your cheers please?

The defeat was Roma's heaviest in 23 appearances in Europe, and worst since they fell 4-0 at East German side Carl Zeiss Jena in 1980. It was also the biggest loss for an Italian club since Juventus fell 7-0 in the European Cup at Vienna in 1958.

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti was stunned.
"It's difficult to explain what happened, especially because the team played well in the first 10 minutes," said Spalletti. "Then the first time they attacked, they scored. We failed to respond to their enthusiasm and our inexperience cost us dearly against their counter-attacks." - AFP/de
BEAT THAT! Ronaldo and Co. simply tore apart the famed catenaccio defence of the Italians. Like totally~

Would "Honour your father and mother" mean to put them in a home for the aged?

Professionals like doctors, bankers and lawyers treating the Home as a dumping ground
for their invalid parents.

Its just 900-1000+ a month, they thought, i can very well afford it given my FAT bank account.
I cant possibly have an "antique" in my posh and swanky house when my friends, paramour or client comes over can i?

So they dump them and only visit them when their schedule permits.

Out of sight, out of mind right?
But Ma/Pa, you know im currently handling a high profile lawsuit/ million dollar business deal yada yada
Please be understanding will you?

I had the privilege of visiting Irene's nursing home for CIP with my class yesterday.

no sarcasm at all really.. although i must admit that before, i dreaded going there
with my half-past-six chinese and absolutely no mastery of any dialect whatsoever

and boy, it was an eye-opener.
totally unlike from what you see on telly
where the old folks are totally engaged in activities,
the octagenarian/s (some even older) were lounging in chairs or wheelchairs
quite contentedly awaiting Death to take them away.

Major alarm bells sounded off in my head.
Dont they have a purpose in life?
What were they living for?
Dont they know JESUS?
THE ONE who died for them on a Friday; 2 thousand years ago
Only to rise 3 days later from the grave.
Sad to say but i doubt they do...

We sang, we danced, we played the guitar..
We gave gifts, we shook their hands and we hugged them..
But the thought refused to be dragged into the folder i titled "back of my head"

The defining moment came when we were about to leave after we sang more than words.
The old woman in the wheel chair starting bawling and refused to loosen her vice like grip on my classmate's hand.
Apparently, she didnt want us to leave.
Loneliness and other emotions are showing its manifestations.
It took some time for the helpers to placate her
and all this while i was watching from the sidelines.

"Dont be a wuss, Justin..", my brain trying to reaffirm its charge over my already watery eyes.
And it succeeded. or i wouldnt know how to face anyone. ahaha so unglam =p

Not to worry M'am, Jesus knows your hurt.
He feels your hurt.
He can take away your hurt
Like He did to mine...

'cause you see time was running out and i was becoming jittery,
racking my brains to figure the golden answer that would get me past the round
without completing the other blanks.
