Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighbouring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question: "What do women really want?"
Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by the end of the year.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer.
But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!

Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus: "What a woman really wants, is to be in charge of her own life".

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.

And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.

Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night?

Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day,but a beautiful woman by night? What would YOU do?

Well, Noble Lancelot said that he would allow her to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Therefore guys, the moral of the story is : If you don't let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly :P:P

i never knew how much my general paper skills , paper one component to be specific, sucked until i attempted the questions my teacher gave.
it was harmless.. or at least i thought it was, compared to the other "easier questions.

"how much control do we have over our lives today". discuss.

took the initiative to get the creative juices going by searching online for relevant points to include in my argument. yeah cheat or whatever la, i just had to get the essay done. its graded for pete's sake!!

search results turned up some rather interesting findings: and among them were psychic and spirituality webbys. wth. haha now tell me how are they related?

i struggled and stopped. but still did not managed to get it done.
google, answers.com and wikipedia arent much help by the way :P

time's 530pm. i would still be in school had i not skipped track training today.

i am tired everyday
everyday, i am tired.
school's becoming a routine

hello once again.i am back from hiatus! ha, i have deleted all my previous posts since its a new year. nope, not out of superstition.. but to start things on a clean slate. i feel my school's orientation theme; de novo- applies to the first three months students just as much as it applies to me.

no resolutions for me though. i dont see why one should wait till the coming year to achieve the things necessary or important or insert your own word here unless your vocabulary is as limited as mine haha

you may call me impatient or eccentric just because i dont follow the norm.

i dont see the need to actually.
in fact i do admit i'm impatient and perhaps eccentric at times. :)

resolutions aside, i do have a verse for 2007. its from the gospel of mark! chapter 9:23 which i shared when we broke up into smaller discussion groups for cell on friday. so i wont share it again.. not here not now! i hate to repeat myself. hmmm... i do think my kids will have it good next time; no reiteration no nagging whoops! but then again parenthood brings about radical changes in people.
pardon me if im disgressing or have digressed :P

school hasn't been all smooth sailing the past few days. if it were, i would have gotten a gold medal for sailing at the recent Doha games! :P i was late for school for 3 consecutive days but i got let off- THANK GOD!, failed my attire and hair check and teachers sprung two surprise tests which err, caught me by surprise!

but amidst all the unpleasantness, i realized God has a sense of humor. ha i got chosen as class vice-chairman. and the next day i received a call from ripley's believe it or not, they wanna feature my story hahaha! =D it came to me while i was on the long bus ride, journeying home- that everything that had happened over the span of 2006 was... umm never mind i shall save it for another day. i forgot the word to use... heh

its the end of my first post for the year. off to do my homework and some revision. heh talk about starting things afresh people.. DE NOVO!

my body hurts after today's taekwondo match.
it also hurts when i pee.. =X

my plea : notice the top of my background's kinda plain with the exception of a teeny weeny taekwondo picture i got off devianart. i had initially wanted to make a collage of pictures but obviously i didnt managed to, being the computer idiot that i was, still am and will continue to be unless i do something about it. ahaha. now will some one be so kind as to teach me or even better still, help me to make one :):)
